Live 4 Evan works to allow families with Children going through cardiac care to be close to their child. The organization raises funds towards providing the housing facilities.
“At Live4Evan, we believe that parents shouldn’t have to choose between putting food on the table and being by their child’s side while they undergo open-heart surgery or other serious medical treatments. For this reason, we provide temporary housing to families who need to travel into the Boston area to treat their child with heart disease.
Since March 2016, we have housed over 10 families in Live4Evan’s apartment housing, with an average length of stay of just under 2 months. And due to the overwhelming need and extremely high occupancy rate, we are looking to expand our housing facilities to help more families be close to their child during these difficult, stressful times.”
