With lots of hard work, support from you, and dedication to the mission, Live4Evan would like to officially announce the opening of our very first independently-operated L4E Apartment!
This independently-operated apartment gives Live4Evan the opportunity to work directly with the families themselves and is already being occupied by it’s first family from New York, who are anxiously awaiting the birth of their child with CHD.
The apartment, located near the intersection of Huntington and Longwood avenues, has been fully furnished through a generous donation by Cort Furniture of Boston and is designed to function as a “home away from home” for residents.
As Housing Operations Director Barbara Girardi notes, “our long-standing goal has always been to offer stress-free housing. We want to create apartments that have all the amenities of a home and allow families to remain close to their child during such a critical time. It’s a truly incredible feeling for Live4Evan to be able to offer this. We are hopeful that there will be many more to come.”
Are you or someone you know interested in staying in our apartment? Apply here!
If you would like to support the apartment by helping us provide amenities for our families, please view our wish list here.
We’d also like to give a huge thank you to CORT Furniture in Boston, MA, which generously furnished the entire L4E Apartment. Their greathearted donation was integral in the apartment opening and will be helping families for months to come. Thank you CORT Furniture!
